Prof. (Dr.) Bhim Singh is one of India’s most respected experts in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, and Renewable Energy Systems. He has served as the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Dean of Academics at IIT Delhi, and is internationally recognized for his pioneering contributions to renewable energy technologies. He was honored with the prestigious International Kalpana Chawla Solar Award 2020 by the International Solar Alliance for his outstanding work in solar energy and sustainable power systems. With an illustrious academic and research career spanning decades, Prof. Singh has guided numerous Ph.D. and Master’s scholars, filed over 100 patents, and successfully led several sponsored research and industrial projects. His expertise covers solar photovoltaic systems, wind energy, microgrids, EV charging infrastructure, energy-efficient technologies, advanced power electronics, electric drives, and power quality improvement systems.
As a mentor and technical advisor to Saurya Ujjwala, Prof. Singh provides invaluable guidance in developing innovative, efficient, and sustainable next-generation energy solutions for India.
