Hurry! Time is Running Out!
Saurya Ujjwala Private Limited brings you the most innovative and efficient solar power solutions designed for homes, offices, and commercial spaces. As a trusted system integrator/EPC company, we do the design, engineering, procurement of materials, construction, and commissioning of solar power systems. We source top quality Solar Panels from tier-1 companies like ADANI, WAREE, RenwSys, Solar inverters from Growatt, Sungrow, Deyes, Solis and Cables, Circuit breakers, SPD from Havells, Polycab, ABB.
The subsidy on solar is only for domestic consumers. Business consumers can avail accelerated depreciation based tax benefits.
Why Solar Energy?
Solar energy is a FREE energy provided by nature. By generating and storing your own electricity with solar panels and battery storage, you can reduce your electricity bills to almost zero.
With solar energy plant, you can power your entire home – from fans and lights to TVs, refrigerators, water purifiers, air conditioners, and more. For Commercial & Industrial Use, we provide high-capacity solutions that transform large unused spaces into energy-efficient powerhouses.
What are the Area Requirements?
Approximately 70 square feet area is required per kilowatt of solar. For a 5 KW, you would need approx. 350 square feet for 10 KW you need 700 square feet of rooftop space.
What are the Cost, Subsidy (central & state fund assistance) on solar?
The subsidy on solar is only for domestic consumers. The central government subsidy for domestic meter connections is Rs 78000/- (fixed) for 3 KW to 10 KW. The state government subsidy is different for different states, for example in Delhi it is Rs. 2000/- per KW whereas in UP it is 30000 (fixed) for 3 KW to 10 KW.
The subsidy based system costs approximately Rs 7000/- per kilowatt higher than non-subsidy based solar plant. The subsidy based systems are DCR (Domestic Content Requirements) compliant meaning the solar cells and solar panels are manufactured in India whereas for Non-DCR panels, the solar cells usually come from China and other countries and are assembled here in India. Both types are equally good, but there is a cost difference of approx. Rs.7000/- per kilowatt.
The cost of a solar plant varies based on the above types (DCR or non-DCR), technology, quality of materials used, and consumer requirements: Depending on types (On-Grid/Off-Grid/Hybrid) size and quality of materials, the cost can vary from Rs. 35000 to Rs. 65000 per kilowatt including freight. Taxes are extra @ 13.8% (GST).
What is the Cost Recovery Period in UP with central and state subsidy?
In UP a domestic consumer gets Rs. 1,08,000/- total fixed fund assistance from central and state governments for 3 to 10 KW solar roof top solar plant (RTFS). For example, the cost of a 5 KW subsidy based On-Grid solar system which does not require battery storage, is approx. Rs 2,75,000. With a total subsidy of Rs. 1,08,000/- the net cost is only Rs.1,67,000/-. This system will generate more than 9000 units of electricity per year and hence more than Rs. 70000/- savings in electricity bill in 12 months. So the entire cost is recovered in less than 2.5 years’ period. Thereafter, it is FREE electricity for about 35 to 40 years. Further, cost of government or GRID electricity is going up each year, but solar electricity is FREE for the entire lifetime.
Government Bank Loan on Solar
All government banks like SBI, Union Bank, PNB provide solar loan at low interest rates of about 8 to 9%. If you do not want to spend your own money, go for solar loan. The loan repayment can be paid back through EMI from the savings in electricity bill within few years. Please check the terms on the bank portals through google search.
What are the benefits for Business Users?
Commercial or Industrial units can avail depreciation tax benefits. Up to 40% accelerated depreciation is offered in the first starting year of installation as the tax benefit for businesses users. They can recover 40% of costs in the first year to have great cost savings.
Durability and Warranty
Most solar companies in India offer a 25 to 30 years’ warranty, ensuring long-term performance. While the efficiency may slightly decrease over time, solar panel systems can function effectively for over 40 years.
